LEGO: these building sets are not just for kids anymore. Over the past few years, LEGO has been releasing more and more LEGO sets for adults. Some of these are complicated builds that would pose a challenge for kids. Others are nostalgia-fueled sets like the Atari 2600. In any case, there are a bunch of LEGO sets on sale for Prime Day 2025. And since today is the last day of the sale, I thought I’d pick out the five sets for adults to buy before the prices go back up. LEGO is definitely one of those things you'll want to buy before Prime Day ends this year.

LEGO Marvel Daily Bugle

You don’t need a Prime membership to take advantage of this one, but you do need to be a LEGO Insider. Thankfully, you can sign up here for free. This is one of my favorite Marvel LEGO sets, because of its immense scale. It’s the building where Peter Parker’s newspaper employer is housed in Manhattan, and the set stands nearly three feet tall. It’s made of 3,772 pieces and it comes with an incredible 25 minifigures. You get Marvel heroes like Spidey, Spider-Gwen, Blade, and Daredevil, plus villains like Doc Oc, Mysterio, and more. It’s a huge set, and the current 20% discount helps lighten the financial load.

LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle and Grounds

Harry Potter and LEGO go together like peas and carrots. And one of my favorite Harry Potter LEGO sets is this beautiful version of Hogwarts Castle and Grounds. It’s smaller than the $500 version LEGO released a few years ago, but it looks great and the price is right. This set also acts as the blueprint for the massive, multi-set, modular LEGO Hogwarts Castle that’s currently being released. That project has you piece together multiple individual Harry Potter LEGO sets to create the biggest version of Hogwarts Castle LEGO has ever made.

LEGO Icons Boutique Hotel

The other sets on here are all associated with brands and IP. This one isn’t. It’s classy. It’s a LEGO set that depicts a European-style hotel, with minifigures doing everyday activities outside and around it. It’s also huge, at 3,066 pieces. And if you like building it and like the way it looks, you can pick up some of the other LEGO Modular Buildings to connect it to, creating your own little LEGO nook designed however you want it. It's not part of the LEGO architecture line, but it definitely comes close.

LEGO Star Wars R2-D2

This one is aimed at the 10+ age range, so it’s not technically a LEGO set for adults, but I’m picking it anyway. That’s because I’d argue it is an adult-aimed set. It looks terrific (close to the now-retired Ultimate Collector Series R2 that came out a few years ago). It also comes with an informational placard, which means it’s designed for display rather than play. This, and many other LEGO Star Wars sets, have consitently been top Prime Day deals this year.

LEGO Disney Young Simba: The Lion King

The LEGO/Disney partnership goes back a long way, but it’s only pretty recently LEGO started putting out Disney LEGO sets for adults. As a child of the ‘90s, The Lion King was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. This set has you build young Simba (the voice of JTT is not included, unfortunately). It’s a great-looking set for any adult Disney fan, and it’s a full 50% off for Prime Day – a discount you almost never see on LEGO sets.
