Capcom’s Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. The new entry into the Monster Hunter Stories franchise was revealed on Thursday, July 31, during Nintendo’s Partner Showcase Direct.
The game trailer showed off a glimpse of a kingdom at war, with the story centered around a mysterious ginormous monster egg that is on the verge of hatching. The trailer also mentions something called “The Encroachment,” which doesn’t sound too comforting. Additionally, the main character can be seen taking to the skies as the “sole Rathalos Rider” tasked with saving the kingdom.
The first Monster Hunter Stories was initially released as a Nintendo 3DS exclusive in 2016, which was then ported to Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. Monster Stories 2: Wings of Ruin arrived on Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2021.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection will land on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
